Founded in 2020, EKHO Capital is a San Jose-based, minority-owned investment firm specializing in multifamily value-add opportunities across Northern California. We enhance underperforming assets through targeted upgrades, focusing on older, undervalued mid-market properties priced below replacement cost. Throughout our history, we’ve managed over 1,000 apartment units with zero additional investor capital calls and 100% of projected distributions delivered on schedule.
Founder
Humberto A. Escapini brings 10+ years of institutional investment experience from J.P. Morgan where he managed over $3 billion across various asset classes. Through market cycles, Humberto witnessed how disciplined real estate investing with conservative leverage and a long term horizon (holding a property for 5 years at least, not flipping at 3 years) delivers equity-like returns with lower volatility.
Early in his life he saw how real estate helped family members build wealth; now he seeks to make these financial attributes accessible to more investors through technology-enhanced approaches to multifamily real estate. Humberto commits to exceptional fiduciary stewardship, preserving and growing investor capital through a rigorous approach that delivers strong returns without excessive risk.
